Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Columbus Relief.
Together we prepare all the food, toiletries, clothes and reading material to load onto the bus. You will have the opportunity to help prepare the meal we will be serving, make hygiene kits and organize in-kind donations for distribution to our guests.
The ‘inspiration table’ helps us personalize special notes that are added to items we are passing out.
Day or Evening Outreaches
Day Outreach: We meet at a Community Center to prepare the Columbus Relief bus for outreach together.
After tasks are completed and bus is loaded, we circle together for a mini orientation and prayer.
Traveling to location, we spend some time in worship and prayer. Everyone has an opportunity to serve in multiple stations if they would like to. (5 Star Bistro, War Room, Dining area, Blessing Walk, etc.)
SAME GOAL: LOVING PEOPLE… SHARING GOD’S LOVE
Evening Outreach: The evening will begin with prayer and a 15-minute Round Meeting. The outreach leader will help you prepare for the evening. Groups of 2-4 people will walk the streets of Columbus sharing a blessing kit to those that me meet.

You are a CHAMPION!
Thank you for volunteering! Many people we serve are desiring
spiritual and emotional support. They are usually without a home,
struggling financially, hungry, needing clothing or connection to
resources along with the struggle of an addiction and/or mental illness.
Columbus Relief is a volunteer-based organization and our
volunteers are a valuable partnership in helping the mission in mobilize, inspire, guide and share God’s love.
By volunteering, you will find this is a transformative experience
and want to come back and serve again! We believe you will
enjoy working as a team in fellowship. That’s why we call YOU a CHAMPION!
While on the bus returning to base, we will debrief about that day’s outreach experience. At base, the bus is unloaded, count is taken on items served and dishware used is cleaned. Any leftovers are shared with our community friends.
We value your input! Please feel free to share your experience and information here. This will help us continue to improve God’s mission and work in the communities we serve.
